How it works for accommodation-seekers:
Anyone can register as a $elect Stays member.
There are no costs involved to register as a member.
On registration, we issue them with a member number.
They use their member number when they send an enquiry.
The number is verified automatically BEFORE the enquiry is sent.
The property is notified on the enquiry that they are a verified member.
Property ensures that the quote includes a 15% saving.

Terms & Conditions
The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply. Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving.
The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.

testing to the history of Kalk Bay,

removed from the impersonal malls of the city and Kalk Bay
Books is one of the
finest bookshops you'll find anywhere in the country should you fancy something
to read while on holiday. Down the road is the Historic Naval Base in Simon's
Town resplendent with old pubs and seaside dining. Within 30 minutes you are
already at the Cape of Good Hope. or at the Cape Town City Centre or at the
Airport.

Children up to the age of 10 years stay for free when sleeping at the parent’s
bed. Cot is available for R 49.00 per night.
Children up to the age of 12 years pay R 249.00 per night for the extra bed
including breakfast.
Terms and Conditions
- A 50% non -refundable deposit and full credit card details will secure your
reservation. The balance of accommodation is to be paid on arrival
- For 1 night stays full non-refundable payment is required
- For cancellation up until one month prior to the expected arrival the guest
will be liable for the full deposit
- For cancellation within 30 to 14 days of expected arrival, the guest will be
liable for 75% of the total accommodation cost
- For cancellation within 14 days to the expected arrival, no show or early
departure, the guest will be responsible for the full accommodation fee
- Refunds of deposits/prepayments for bookings are at the discretion of
management and are dependent of the ability to re let rooms
- All major credit cards are accepted except of Diners Card and American Express
- Rooms that are not occupied by 18h00 will be seen as a NO SHOW, unless prior
arrangements have been made
- R 450.00 will be deducted from the credit card if the room key is lost or not
returned upon departure
By signing I hereby accept the terms and conditions as stated above and
authorize the withdrawal of the booking deposit and penalties, outstanding
accounts or damages if occurred. Items found missing after departure will be
charged for.
